In a previous post, the owner mentioned using a forklift to unload from a trailer. While most people don't have forklifts, probably some do have a tractor with a loader.
An effective way that I've used to maneuver the truck is to run a chain or sling through the pintle hitch and fasten to the loader mast (or forklift) on a reinforced point. Use the loader to lift the back wheels a few inches off the ground. You can then drive the truck wherever you want. It helps, but is not required, to have someone behind the wheel.
This method minimizes potential damage to the frame or fuel tank.
