My M101A2 Trailer adventure.

It all started about 8 years ago. I had been going to the 127 Sale ( It's a yard sale that is over 650 miles long) I wanted to buy a new truck and go to the garage sale at the same time. So after doing some research on the internet and finding a dealership in Houston Texas I bought the truck and then realized I needed a trailer to haul our stuff home after all we were driving across the US!! I found a M101A2 for sale in Baton Rouge LA and made the deal to pick it up 2 days after I got my pickup. We flew from Portland Oregon to Houston Texas and got the truck and 2 days later we were in Baton Rouge LA to hook up the trailer and off we went!! I have been a military collector for over 40 years and really enjoyed stopping at garage sales and flea markets. We did manage to fill it up at the 127 Sale and flea markets on our way home! I wish I took more pictures along the way. I was really amazed how many people complemented how much they liked the trailer!! This is the first picture when we made it to Alabama to start the 127 Sale.

I have used it for hauling yard waste to picking up surplus!! Here I won the bid for 52 Bags of Camo Net Support poles.

Last year was a fantastic trip, the AL-CAN Highway!!! Getting ready to hit the road!!

Our first stop was Hope ,BC Canada. Does anyone reimber what movie was filmed in Hope? (I will give you a hint) "First Blood"

Next we were getting close to the start of the ALCAN Highway. Stopped to take in some beauty full sights!!!

We made it to the start!! We were so lucky to have great weather!

Next stop was Ft Nelson. We enjoy getting up and hitting the road around 6am to see the wildlife. Then a short stop to get out and take in the sights.

Another stop to relieve some coffee!! What beauty full county!!!!

Our next stop!!! The YUKON!!! Contact Creek and Watson Lake.

A night in Teslin Yukon. Next stop Whitehorse.

After Whitehorse I wanted to drive the Dempster Highway. WOW!! what a trip. So much to see and be sure to take along some extra fuel and spare tire. Even though I never had to use them.... Made a lot of stops along the way. I tried to make it to the Artic Ocean but the rivers were still running high due to snow melt. But we did manage to make it to the Artic Circle!!!

The Artic Circle!!!! Then our way back to Dawson City.

Back at Dawson City. Then the ride across the Yukon River to the Top of the World Highway and a stop at Chicken.

After Tok we stopped a the end of the ALCAN Highway then to the North Pole.

We went to Fairbanks and then to Denali National Park.

Then on to Anchorage and then the Kenai. The first pic is the view from my motel room. The Kenai is the next.

Then to Whittier for some fresh Halibut!!! We are waiting in line to go thru the Whittier Tunnel. Then to start our way south back home

We headed south to Haines Junction. Then a lunch break before we get to Haines.

Then to Vancouver BC and a ferry ride to Vancouver Island and then back to Washington State!!!

Back home after 2 and a half weeks on the road!! What a trip!!! And I would do it all over again. The Dempster sure took a tole on the paint!!! I did give it a fresh coat of paint later in the summer.
