Here is some mv action on the Niles canyon railway, I was out with some of the guys to get a box car to put some passenger car seats in. The one we wanted was to hard to get to so we got this one,we now had a US ARMY loco pulling a USAF car (how often did this happen) so I had to take some pics.
We got back to the yard and then did more switching this time we ended up with a NAVY loco in tow.
The 298 is NAVY 1945 (85 ton) last used at the Oakland naval supply center.
The 7348 is ARMY 1944 (65 ton) a fun note about it we did a repower on it the prime movers are now..........
2 NHC 250 Cummins engines (new) and yes they are DRMO units we got 6 of them,we even left the gen on them.
