First thing is round the corners of the plates both above and below , and make one plate at least one in wider , the reason is not to keep the plates from the scissor effect or easly cutting through . If you really think you gonna role it : with your skills , just weld a plate to frame ( vertically only ) and run a tube and plate ( different size ) to bolt to cage ....

If it's a 95% daily driver just weld a plate to frame ( vertically only) with bracing and run a class 5 bolt through a body mount to it
