Got my truck cleared from customs Monday, couldn't get it out till yesterday. Got there, looked exceptionally nice, turned the power on, nothing....... Reason for that was that some fool at that port tried to jerry rig the ignition and not knowing that the key switch on the instrument panel was not the ignition but a electrical master switch, ended up ruining the wires from there to the fuse box. This masterful work also shorted the two "no replacement in the US to be found" fuse strips on the 24V starting switch. Had to jump those with wire. Next, in his masterful attempt to fire it up he removed the battery cover for some reason but failed to insert the support blocks when he put it back on so both batteries were dead and one had melted a cell. (nice pool of plastic underneath it when I inspected it) Bought two new batts for about $300 Let it be known that my guy in Germany who inspected it reported it running like a champ and actually drove it the 1.5 miles from the unloading point onto the ship.

Now I only had this past week off so as soon as it cleared Monday I was headed there to get it and get home. I did have a carrier lined up to haul it but because customs fiddle farted so long on getting it cleared he had to leave and catch another load that took him out of state, I figured hell why not give it a shot. After repairs and venting my anger as well as filing a claim, I attached temporary tags and headed home. Ran perfect and was fine till I got out of Houston, I got as far as Baytown and started losing power. Fuel pump screen was clogged and looked like a shot glass full of diesel and mud, no grit or real rust at all? Cleaned it and then took off and from there it was stop and go for about 5 miles. At Anahuac, TX I had to call a wrecker and have it towed because the rain started to pour down and I was just about beat. Now it is sitting in storage and come next week off I need to have a solution to get it home.

The guy that's holding my truck at the moment wants $1,600 for the haul and I have a WW2 German MG-42 parts kit with a 3 cut MG-42 reciever up for sale so if anyone wants it it is listed or will trade for the haul. Let me know guys if yall are interested! :D

Oh yeah....and here are some pics for ya to check out
Tell you what.....I have never been defeated by a machine, specially just because of dirt, but I was beat and the added rain was just too much for me

At the port, dad and lil bubba in the pics making goofy faces at me!

Let me know guys! If someone wants the reciever/reciever&kit or can haul this for me and would take this as a trade then let me know, I have to have a solution by the 27th of this month or sooner. Will do cash too after I sell the MG-42 stuff!

Oh by the way, here are the recievers that I have. These are WW2 Steyr recievers and it is rare to find them 3 cut. I am selling one of these and a near mint WW2 German parts kit with brown bakelite stock. You can rebuild this into a semiautomatic or if you are 07FFL then a registered full auto sample.

For the full amount of the haul or the haul itself.
