Hey everyone ... was told by a friend this is the forum to be , for knowledge ... Looking at the M1078 - 79 series vehicles ..
Lots of questions :
Is iron planet .. gov planet a good place to purchase ?
What is a reasonable price to pay for a running one .. ?
Is a winch a good thing to get with the vehicle ..?
What years to stay away from ...? I noticed a few 1997 - 98 available ..
Any states to stay away from ..?

I`ll ask more as I think of them ..

Prices vary considerably depending on the overall condition and, of course, whether it's listed as running or not. Winch trucks are extremely rare and M1079s are going to be twice or more than a M1078. If you can find one locally for sale by private owner then consider the advantages of being able to test drive it, ask questions about what needs done to the truck, have a title in hand, and not have to pay someone else to ship it for you. GP is a crap shoot. They do more indepth than GL ever did but they're not going to go to extremes to find out what may be wrong with a truck listed as "won't start" other than check the batteries and try slave starting it.
