There are groups in Columbia, Aiken and the Greenville-Spartanburg areas. A few in the coastal area, Florence, Charleston-MT Pleasant. Go to the Manuals section, find the Deuce thread and download all the manuals, then start reading with GTA 9-1-185 (systematic Inspection procedure for the 2 1/2 ton truck), then on to the LO (lube order) and the -10 (operators manual), you can go into the higher level manuals on an as needed basis. If you don't see the answers in those books, ask questions as we old-timers know where to find the answers.

Hi SS, new owner from South Carolina, near Savannah, Ga area.

1971 M35a2

Any owners or shops near this area for meetups and support?
.
Welcome to the Outfit!

You have been given first class advise from @SCSG-G4 and he is a heck of a good guy down in your neck of the woods. Sign on with the MV group that Mike is a part of and you will be informed about parades and events and meetings - all about big green trucks! Reminding you again, grab those free downloads for TM's (Technical Manuals) and you will be smarter about your truck and how it operates.

Happy Driving and Happy Wrenching too!

Welcome to Steel Soldiers, and good luck with your new truck! We would love to see some photos, when you get a chance to post some. All of my lighting issues were solved by replacing bulbs. If none of your lights work, I would suspect the 3 way switch is either set wrong, or possibly has loose contacts. Troubleshooting procedures are all in the TMs, and wiring on these trucks is fairly simple, as long as it is all stock and no one has monkeyed with it. If you get stuck, feel free to "ask the experts". Folks on here are happy to help, and they know every nut and bolt on these trucks.

Again, welcome.

Adam is in Liberty Hill, but that's up near NC. Jeff might know someone in the Charleston area. You might also reach out to anyone in the Savannah, GA area, Poppop in the Brooklet, GA area is a possibility.
