Hello, Everbody
I've lurked on the site for a long time and finally registered. Jack and I have had MVs since they were just plain old and fun to have and long before they were collectables. Our farm is in Sennett, NY and although we don't make it to as many shows as we used to we have really enjoyed the people and the exchange of information at the shows and on this site.
OK, so I guess we are supposed to list all the MVs here at the Fort Poverty Motor Pool..... Well, here goes....
The big stuff:
1952 M41A1 Walker Bulldog light recon tank
1970 M123A1C 10 ton tractor
1966 M172A1 25 ton low bed trailer (for the tank)
1945 GMC DUKW
1953 M62 5 ton wrecker
1953 M139 bridge truck
1951 M52 5 ton tractor w/winch
1951 Dorsey MK 1 low bed trailer (for the dozer and roller)
1960 Curtis-Wright M35 2-1/2 ton cargo truck
1954 M211 2-1/2 ton cargo truck
The smaller stuff:
1954 M37 3/4 ton cargo truck
1952 M38A1 1/4 ton utility truck
1552 M100 1/4 ton trailer
1953 M105A1 1-1/2 ton trailer
1944 Clark airborne bulldozer w/blade and rippers
1943 towed airborne roller/compactor
Yr unk Hollingsworth Power Unit PE-95-K 12.5 kW generator
Yr unk 75mm pack howitzer (mine, all mine thank you)
Yr Unk Prototype Developement Corp. bomb trailer w/dummy bombs
Awaiting restoration:
1952 M135 2-1/2 ton cargo truck w/winch
Yr unk M211 2-1/2 ton cargo truck
A whole flock of trailers
Geez, no wonder something always seems to be broken and waiting it's turn in the shop. This week's project is to get the newly rebuilt engine back into the DUKW.
