Found this site through a friend after just purchasing a 5ton truck with the cummins diesel. I only purchased the truck for the front and one rear axles so I'm learning what esle is worth keep out of the scrap yard and fair value on these items this truck runs like a dream so I really dont want to scrap a good engine and drive train the rest of the truck is nothing to brag about or worth anything it was a logging truck used to pull the trailers out of the poor logging roads and is in rough shape.

you can part a truck out for 2 to 5x what you will get for scrap. Not to mention make some people on here stress if you are going to scrap it!

Too bad you didnt join a little earlier. You could have come out and met most of us at the richloam rally down the road from you. You could have seen a couple really nice 5 tons there too.

I leave it like it is, put some 16.00s on it and go to the mud park like it is! or even make it a 4 door!

Welcome neighbor! Give me a call and lets meet. Bet we know some of the same people. I'm putting videos on you tube right now. When they are loaded I'll link them in the richloam thread, there are some cool 5 tons with 16.00's em'. But they still get stuck.

Welcome aboard and post some pics of it. It isn't like we won't have opinions on what it is worth the way it is.

Understandably some get a little bent when they see nice trucks getting cut up for scrap or parted out. That seems like a great use for the truck you have though. ~Especially since I could use a set of front springs, bolts, and hangars!

Looks like a fun project, and anything we can keep out of the melt pot is a win.

I met him tonight. Got to look at the truck, er I mean the axles he has under the rusty shell of a truck! It does have a great running Cummins, somebody out there needs it. It would be a shame to see the engine get scrapped.
