While I don't own a MV of any kind, I've had an interest in military vehicles since I was a kid - before Army service. I've been trying to work up the nerve to bid on a Humvee on Govplanet.com. I also hope to catch some meetings / shows with the Kansas City Area groups.

I don’t know what it’s like in Kansas but in Michigan and some other states, it’s almost impossible to title an HMMWV. This is due to the level of ignorance in our state government. You may want to ask around if Kansas is one of the states that are hostile towards HMMWV’s before you buy one.

Good advice. I will do just that. I've wondered, because I see these things going for crazy money - they sell all that they put up for auction - but I never SEE one. Do they all end up as farm trucks, garage art or cartel-mobiles? I've wondered who pays $30K for one of the better 4-dr hardtop Humvees; considering that they are still govt surplus.
