New Purchase, M35A1

Howdy, I am new to Steel Soldiers. I use to own an M880, then I bought my M715 and just two days ago I bought a 1970 M35A1 w/winch. I went up on Weds to look at it and bought it. I registered it Thurs morning and went back up with my plates and drove it home. Everything works and I have put a couple hundred miles on it since yesterday.

Don't worry about the "A1 were gassers", or "it looks like an A2 to me", etc. I'm just gonna say it was a typo, or tipo, or tiepo....

I was under the Impression A1's were non-turbo and A2's were turbo. I was going by what Wikipedia said. I do not know too much about them.

It could be an A1 according to the data plate, but got the A2 upgrade. Welcome to the site!

I've only had it for two days. Only put about 15miles on it today. Most was yesterday. I am going to try to make the truck as much of a daily driver as possible. I replaced my rotted out CJ7 with it. I am putting my Bestop seats and the CB from the CJ7 into the Deuce, I am going to try and improve the dash lighting, I am going to put 10R20 tires on it, I am going to put an am/fm radio in it. I may get a repop hardtop for it down the road.

Go with 11.00R20 tires. They're easier to find, generally speaking, since the 5 ton trucks used them and the extra height will increase your top speed a bit.

I improved my dash lighting by carving out slots in the red plastic with my Dremel. Worked like a charm!
