A shame, loved Iola, just info, but the insurance application for a typical show has grown to about 15 pages, each addresses risk areas, past claims, anything that could potential cause an injury in the surrounding area. Insurance for Aberdeen approaching $2,000. Anyone who has been to the Cleveland IX center, can you drive in to unload if your a vendor?
Surplusyes,
Agreed, Iola was a terrific show, and it's too bad it went away due to insurance issues. That's why it's great to have the Motorama show taking it's place, even if there will be a few differences from Iola.
To make this new show happen, Tom had to address a few liability concerns. That's why "live rounds" will not be allowed on the premises. But Historic/Military weapons will still be present and for sale by vendors, just no modern sporting rifles - this is a MILITARY show, after all. The re-enactors will
not be firing weapons
this year, but if a method can be found to prevent chambering live rounds, then they will be able to fire blanks - even the local police depts. sometimes make a
deadly mistake.
Vendors will be able to drive right in and unload.
I hope you make it to the show.
Paul
