My buddy drove the 1952 M35 about 5 miles to my place to lube & inspect. Was checking differentials & noticed slight pressure in housing when I removed the fill plug. Also appears to be a slight outer axle seal leak.
I've read about the axle vents plugging-up, & figured I had to clean them out.
There aren't any! And no plugged holes to put them in either.
My '70 M35A2 has them.
Must have been a later idea?
