I've read the FAQ, checked fuses, light bulbs, ground at taillight housing, replaced brake light switch...still no brake lights. All the other lights function as normal. turn signals work, driving lights work,...anyone have a similar situation? I checked the wring harness and it is intact, but I haven't opened it up...that will be my last resort....HeLP!

Thanks guys,

Warren

Did you check for voltage at the brake switch plug? The orange wire should have 12V on it, if it doesn't then the fuse is most likely your problem.

Did you use your hazard lights lately? Do they work? If the first answer is yes, turn them on and off again and try wiggling the switch, the contact might be broken inside the turn signal switch.

Later,
Joe

I've had a problem with my M1008, I had tail lights, now no tail lights. Fuse is good, front markers and headlights work. I can see a very faint light in the tail light, could this be a short? If so where do I start looking?

If it is a short it will probably blow a fuse. More likely rust or some other ground problem, If rear running lights dim when brake lights are on, it is a bad ground somewhere.
