offered an M548

Ive been offered an M548, as theyre not excactly very common here in the UK any pointers to theyre pros and cons would be very helpfull before I commit hard earned cash to purchasing it

You can always read up on it, TM 9-2350-247-10, -20 etc.
I believe that they were originally able to "swim", but later only fording was covered in the manual(s). May have been a safety thing.

They swim all right but you will need some ballast in the back to trim her right. there a lot of fun.
