2023 Spring "Dust Off" rally - ALL MILITARY VEHICLES/Trailers welcomed!! Get your stuff out of winter storage and come enjoy out typical 70* sunny days here in April
Being held at the Denton Farm Park, located in Denton NC (Almost dead center in the state. Easy accessibility from the interstates (40 or 73)
A MILIION (ok not a million but more than we will ever need) camping sites with water/electric hookups)-no need for reservations-there are plenty. (Hotels will be spotty at best and most likely full as it is the same time as "Furniture Week", so plan accordingly)
The "official" dates are 21-23 April 2023, but camping will start as early as Tuesday for some
Swap meet vending is available (register direct with the farm park as listed on the attached flyer)
Friday Evening will be the traditional BBQ Convoy (Tix will be required and available on site-$10 each) We will have police escort by the Sherriff Dept Motor Patrol. For those who have ridden with us-you know how great of a job these guys do! Its about a 23 mile run each way, with traditional NC BBQ catered at the destination. Bring a chair and an apatite.
There will be - Re-enactor encampments, Huey Rides (no COBRA this year), Gun show/swap meet, machine gun shoots (blanks but..... come on its belt-fed!!!!), venders of all sorts, every type of military vehicles you can imagine, TONS of camping; most of all-- GREAT FRIENDS
Now, the fees (what would life be without them??):
Camping fees range from $25 a night for rustic (tent) camping to $50 a night for water/electric hookups. You can be as close or as far away from others as you'd like to be.
All entrants will need to pay for/obtain a weekend pass ($15 each, $10 for veteran w/ID). These fees help to support the costs associated with such an event, so please just pony up and enjoy the weekend) The event is open to the public who will be attending the Gun Show, taking helicopter rides, and enjoying seeing all of our vehicles--Driving your trucks around is encouraged!!!!
Hopefully those from surrounding states (or even further!) will find a way to attend. Currently our fuel prices are pretty good compared to other locations, (so fill up here) As of today $4.13 for Diesel and $3.15 for regular gas. Of course, who knows 2-1/2 months from now.....
I'm sure I have forgotten something, so I will add as necessary. Will also be a buy/sell thread started.
