Onboard Welder?

I want a welder on my deuce for trail repairs as well as producing 115v for tools. Do you guys think it would be simpler to just mount a small gas-driven welder somewhere on the truck, or modify and mount a second alternator run off the engine?

I don't think the Zena one has 115v capability but I haven't looked at in a while.
