door paint.jpgJust recently purchased this 1994 M998. The entire truck looks great but all 4 doors have paint peeling off of them. I purchased spray cans of the appropriate colors from rapco but am concerned about prepping the doors. Do I need to remove all the paint from the doors? What about a primer, should I prepare the substrate with a sealer of some sort? what caused this kind of peeling to begin with? This was purchased straight from the DoD, no previous owner messed with it.

That is modern day camo.... to disappear at a fire scene.

Are they fiberglass? Can you hand scrape the old, sand and have solid materials to primer and paint?
