Although I have the manual, I need some better quality pictures of a few areas on the m135/211 series deuce. If someone could take a few pics of each area and post them here for me, I'd be most thankful!

-Generator and generator regulator
-Linkage on the reverse shifter shaft on the front of the transfer case. Mine might be missing and if is is i'll see if an original linkage will hook up to my Th400 tranny or If I will just need to make a new myself. It's a very simple setup from what I've read.

Fantastic, thank you Tim! So I am guessing that little reverse shifter shaft is "spring loaded" so to speak and is either pulled outwards by the shift linkage or pulled in by the return spring for reverse operation, correct?

the linkage is connected directly to the linkage at the transmission. When the transmission is in neutral or any forward gear, the linkage pushes the shaft into the transfer case. in reverse, the linkage rotates and pulls the shaft out away from the transfer case.

The linkage does have a small spring on it, more or less just to keep the linkage from vibrating around when the transmission is in a forward gear/neutral.

Thanks for the info, how adaptable do you think said linkage would be to a turbo 400 tranny with a B&M shifter? I'm assuming the best option would be to utilize the original linkage and just find a way to get it hooked up to my tranny's shift linkage instead of trying to fabricate an entire new linkage myself.

Anything can be made to work. but it will take a little ingenuity to rig it up to a th400 linkage, nothing that couldnt be done over a couple beers. the only real issue i can forsee, is that if you want to use park, the linkage has to be redesigned to be able to go past center on the tcase lever. As the stock linkage is designed, you could only go from drive gears to reverse, its not designed to rotate any farther (into park if you used a conventional trans)

Heck, if you wanted to be real lazy, you could even just set it up on a cable/lever in the cab. you could leave the tcase in the 'forward' position, then when the odd time comes around that you require the front axle to drive in reverse, you can pull the cable/flip the lever/whatever and presto, front wheels drive in reverse!

You know, Yuma has no real hills to speak of let alone even park on. I don't really need the parking gear. The original Hydramatic didn't have a park feature and the Military just relied on the E brake and wheel chocks to keep it at bay.

Guess if it turns out to be more than I want to toy with I can install a simple under the seat lever for it, or somewhere on the cab floor. If I used a surplus lever off an old 40's Chevy it would even look pretty neat.

true enough. the park pawl in the th400 probably wouldnt enjoy this kind of application. on fairly level ground it would be nice to have the park feature. But on any significant slope/hill i would not trust the park pawl alone. driveline brake and wheel chocks are of course much more reliable for this!

If I can't get it hooked up for now I suppose I could just remove the front driveshaft so I can atleast drive it around? I bet this thing would still kick a lot of rump off road even in 4x4 mode with that big 455 under the hood. :beer:

yea, i would try to rig up a proper linkage for it, and if that fails, just remove the front shaft to keep the truck mobile while you figure it out.

depending what your doing and where your going, surely having just the rear axles driving will get you where you need to go!
