Hi:
Just got my 68 M715 lisenced and registered here. It is now on the road! Someone on the M715 Zone site suggested that there is a place on Steel Soldiers that could help me find the history of my truck from deployment to surplussing (and perhaps beyond). I have looked around, but can't seem to find that place on here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CARNAC can only help you with the last unit that had your truck while it was in service. And that is only vehicles that were entered into a modern computerized system. Most 715's were surplused when computers were still taking up an entire room. (Mid 1970's) Your best bet is to carefully sand the bumper and bumperettes to reveal overpainted unit markings. Almost no M715's saw combat in Viet Nam. Other hints are holes in the sides of the bed which would indicate radio installations.

I didn't think CARNAC could look up something as old as a M715 but it looks like he found Jeff's. I may post the numbers on my M715 and see if he can come up with something.
