I have just been offered a troop strap , un used and in it's original box but has Dodge replacement part printed on box...would it be the same spec strap as the Reo ? on quick inspection it looks the same as the ones in pics on various gl sites etc anyway this is the original fibre type not nylon etc
thought I would ask the experts

If I remember correctly
The strap for the 1/2 and 3/4 ton dodges was 1 1/4" wide ( 33mm ) to where the deuce strap is 1 3/4" ( 45mm) wide., Other than that it should fit on either vehicle.

I purchased an original canvas troop strap that I was told would fit my M35A2. It turned out to be identical to the M35A2 strap with the exception that it was too short, even extended to it's maximum length. I sold it to a friend with a Dodge M37 and it fit that truck perfectly. I would query about the length before purchasing the strap. In my opinion, the original canvas straps are far superior to the newer nylon straps, which have very poorly made couplers on the ends.

glcaines is right, I purchased one that said it was for either, but it didn't fit the larger truck, but having several Dodges, it didn't go to waste.
