Radiator Armor, so I was told

I was told that this is armor for the radiator, seems odd as no air would get in.
Anyone ever seen it and or want it. It is under the Radio Tray in the pic

I think its one of those infra-red marker panels so you can tell friend from foe.

Radiator armor. It dosnt look very protective though. Maybe against a big branch or something.

Yesterday I was able to swap out my hood thanks to someone walking across mine after the auction.
The GP guys were great about it. He said that the reason that most trucks do not have the radio tray is that during the demil process the radio needs to be removed and it is easier to just take it out try and all..
