For those who are into military and ham radio, there is the Virginia Convention coming up, also known as Frostfest. It will be held Saturday Feb. 5th 2011 at the Showplace in Richmond, VA. It is a very big hamfest on the East Coast. For those into green radios, there are a few deals, but there are many more deals on black wrinkle radios (WWII era gear) and gray radios (Navy type gear) for those into that stuff. Last time I went I picked up a great deal on a RT-70 and AM-65 package, with a really cool Signal Corps stencil on the case. Also snatched a RT-68 and PP-112 power supply in working condition for $40. It pays to hit these shows for deals on military gear, sometimes, and this Frostfest is a big one.
