rear axle shaft won't go back in

I am having serious problems getting the rear axle shaft back in. Are there any tricks on the m1008? It looks to me like it is getting caught on the inner seal as it is just hitting something 6" or so out.

Move your end up and down some. Try twisting a little too. You might think you are pushing it straight in, but normally it will sag down on you some.

:oops:

What he means is, you need to get the axle shaft up to into the center of the differential. Right now, you just have it sitting on the bottom of the axle tube.

If it can't be fixed with WD-40, duct tape, or a big f***ing hammer, it isn't worth fixing. Well, sometimes it is. Okay, make that most of the time, point is, it isn't as fun or easy.
