No troop seats normally in a 4-seater, but you will have back seats. Winch and Solagizer too. complete canvas, thing looks really good. nice score.

Sublime, it's a Bridge weight classification plate. It's the number of short (or standard, I'm drawing a blank) tons that the Truck, it's intended weight, and trailer, and it's intended weight, should weight at max. It's so they can determine if the temporary bridge or permanent bridge in some area can be crossed or if alternate means are required.

Oh I wish I got the M1038. I have a plain old 2 door troop carrier M988 without the rear cover waiting on EUC from the Sept 2 auction. Mine looks like it has a hub seal or two leaking. But it has the nice brush guard like yours.

I just got a m1038. My understanding is its the same as the 1028 but with a winch on the front. Is that all?

Its the same as a M998 except with winch.

Just a note on the bridge plate. The normal number for a HMMWV is 04. The retaining plate that goes across the top is blank on one side and has a C on the other. When you're pulling a trailer you show this to let the bridge control people know that the number represents the combined weight of the truck and trailer. Most guys just leave it on 69 for some reason. LOL
