Hello all,

I picked up a couple SHC35 and got them running great , I also picked up a SHC60 that keeps tripping the manual thermostat reset switch . I followed the TM and tested the switch which tested fine , there are no obstructions in the unit and no other faults , what are the odds it’s just a faulty switch? I would swap it out but having trouble finding one with same part numbers , any ideas on what to check , or anyone have a lead on comparable replacement switch , any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Have you tried using a switch from one of your 35' as you know they work (assuming that switch is the same for both models).

From what I have been able to figure out although they are similar they are different and don’t plug in directly due to different size spade connectors, so decided to do some research first.

the 35 has a max listed temp at the grill of 240f and the thermo limit switch installed in both of them match and are stamped 275f , in the 60 the max listed temp at the grill of 350f but the switch I found in it is 135f so seems like somehow it has incorrect switch installed and it’s tripping off before it has a chance to warm up , I have a similar switch inbound with higher rating to test, haven’t been able to find actual specs of the switch itself other than the part #

Thank you for the response

Well I am glad you may have found a solution. Keep us posted as the results. I have a couple of the 60's, but only one control unit an so it sits unused at this point. Worse case I could pull one of the 0 hours unit I have sitting.
