My question has to do with engaging the PTO. Not this is not a standard M211
hydromatic tranny. and there is no transfer case.
I am assuming that I start up the engine in neutral and attempt to engage
the PTO using the lever which slides this shaft that goes in one end of the PTO and out the other.
The reason I am asking is that there is no clutch mechanism in this operation
and I don't want to strip any gears. I am assuming that since there is no initial load on the PTO that this should just slide in with a minimum of fuss.
Do I have the right idea?
