Hey all'
Im wanting to remove my soft top from my M35 .
Ive owned it for 3 yrs and have never removed it.
Its probably never been off any hints for a stuck top? I don't want to damage it .

Where is it sticking? The side channel grooves? Take some soapy water and spray or pour it down the channel sides and it will slide out. If you don't want to use water, use a can of silicon spray with the long plastic tube and lubricate the channels.

I used lots of WD-40 on the front and side plastic rails and gently tapped the plastic rails out with a wooden dowl and hammer. A second person is a big help. Odds are they will be semi rusted in there. Also be VERY careful with the stitching. That is the first thing to tear apart. If the stitching does tear, take the top and plastic rail to a saddle/leather repair shop and they'll have no problem sewing it back together for you. At very worst I have a very nice one I'll sell you for a good deal. Just PM me.

If it is the front channel you are referring to searls84 is correct. Sometimes they have the plastic channel guide sewn on in three pieces, sometimes I have seen them all one piece. The front channel does corrode and rust making it very difficult to slide out. If you have the rear out/free, you can tap out the front to one side or the other. You can also gently pry the channel to make it wider (not recommended) but have seen it work.
