No am not selling anything nor intend to.... this is a discussion
does this list of parts look right? Am I missing something.... misunderstanding something?
Seems many of the military pulstech solar units ONLY helps avoid sulfation from building on battery plates and does NOT keep batts charged. The solar panel and electronics are for powering the pulse and nothing more it appears. Have seen larger more expensive Pulstechs units that may offer some tender/charging though but that is judging only by pics.
Searched this most of the day other day. Seems you can put one together yourself for about 70 bucks via amazon with 10w solar panel instead of 5w panel on most versions of the Military Pulsetech. List is for parts to make up a unit that is ALSO a battery tender/maintainer/charger.
list for parts on amazon called "pulse 24v MV Charging"
This list has a waterproof pwm controller. Reading up on this appears a pwm is fine for such a small application. pieces of this list should provide enough to power the pulse modulator and offer a smidge of tender charging
Put two different pulse modulators for desulfating on the amazon list. one is made by pulsetech who makes the military version. the other is half the price (chinese) with alligator clips. Same Chinese unit though is sold on ebay with wire rings for less actually. item # 323398077726
if you want an mppt charger unit, there is a waterproof versions on ebay such as item number 153586208904 and plenty of others. Did not find equivalent on Amazon. MPPT might be better in cold and shadowy environment where you need to ensure as much volts as possible is put back into battery that is drained by the pulse modulator.
