Solenoid?

alright, my truck( 86 m1009) wont start. i try and start it but it just makes a really loud clicking noise then stops. i have a new starter so i think its going to be the solenoid.

does this sound like the solenoid to yall

First order of business would be to check your batteries. you maybe getting enough voltage but not enough amps. is your starter 12V or 24V..

If the starter clicks only, the batteries are bad or you have a bad contact or ground. Check all connections for cleanes and propper contact.
A 12 Volt starter also runs on 24 Volts, just faster, however, not forever.
