Hello, I was wondering if folks can do me a favor. I'd like to know if my M998 is performing poorly.

With your unmodified (intake, exhaust, cam, block, non turbo), can you time how long it takes on a flat road to get up to 30 MPH in a 6.2 normally aspirated M998? (Floored).

Can you do the same up a slight hill?

My M998 is well-maintained but it seems a bit sluggish these days. I know they're an elephant already. I've owned this for two years. My M1037 beats the sox off it. ;)

They're slow.
Ford 7.3 Idi non turbo slow.
They are Forrest Gump slow.

I have one. I'm throwing in 2.58 gears. I'm also getting my mechanic to tweek the injector pump.

Then I'm gonna get Nicholas Hoult to blow gasoline into the intake whenever I need to accelerate.

Sorry I can't help you with the test. Mine is a 6.5 with a turned up pump. If you are loosing performance, try checking the fuel filter. When is the last time you changed it? Drain the water separator. Do you get any water out of it? It also could be the garbage they call Diesel that they sell in Cali. It has a lot biodiesel in it. It holds water pretty easy. You could have a batch of bad fuel.
