My speedometer cable adapter is not turning the cable. Where can I find one?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I had not looked at this thread in forever. You were absolutely correct. I claim old timers not alzheimers for the mistake.Dabtl, you are getting a tachometer adapter from me (a little delay in shipping, guess I could blame the holidays..), the speedo adapter is mounted on the transfer case and has a ratio, which must be specified for 900 or 1100 tires, whichever you are running.
1:200 (NSN 2520-00-404-3098 ) for 1100 or 1:187 (NSN 2520-00-562-0421) for 900 tires....
Why not, what is different? Clean it and see if you can find 0.187:1 stamped on the housing. That is the correct one for a Deuce with 9.00-20 tires. Can anyone identify the speedometer adapter on my deuce. It's not the standard one that is on most trucks. ....
