Spicer 3053a question

I am looking at buying a spicer 3053 tranny from an M35. It is in another city and I have pictures and numbers but I can't see it in person. It looks correct but I want to make sure its an OD 5th gear model.

I know this info: P/N 4031T2 2.5 ton M/F Dana / Spicer NSN 2520008844833

Looking up the NSN shows promising info:

M0D3053ABM3886-3 / TWO AND 1/2 TON M/F

Is there any way to tell if this is indeed the 3053a 5 speed with the OD? I can't have anyone go spin the shafts and count as the tranny is crated for shipping.

How much does one of these weigh empty?

Do believe 53 is over drive and 52 is not. So 3052 and 3053. Five ton 6052 and 6053.

As long as they didn't put different guts in it, you should be good.
