Starter keeps trying to go whenever i connect power

My hmmwvs starter one day kept trying to go after I started it. I had to pull the connecter off the battery to stop it. I tried fixing it by rebuilding the solenoid. After reinstalling the starter it still sparks and the starter engages the flex plate. I unplugged the key and that's not the issue. I don't know what to look at next.

Your starter has a solenoid.

Honestly, you need to look up how a starter is activated.

You PCB is also potentially suspect.

If you mean by "key" you have a keyed ign. switch that is your problem.

The first thing you need to do is get a suitable load to test with, a 24V head light would be perfect, under normal conditions if a head light was put in line with the battery and its terminal it would not light (it may "flicker" but should not stay lit), if the starter is trying to crank it will light the head light.
Continuing testing by connecting the battery terminal can (and probably will) damage the batteries and or explode the batteries in your face.
Then disconnect the engine side of the PCB box connector and see if the problem still exists

I also forgot to mention that I disconnected the starter module and it let me attach the connecter to the battery without it making big sparks.

OK did you try it with only the inside connector removed?
If everything is OK with only the inside connector removed then the problem is in your wiring/ign switch inside the truck.
If it tries to crank with only the inside connector removed but does not try to crank with the outside connector removed then the PCB box is bad.

I have not tried individually. I will try that when I have a chance to work on it again.

Yeah the pcb box is bad. What do you suggest for a replacement?
