This is our multitalent UNIMOG 406.145 born 1975 as an aircraft tug but good for much more.
Pulling, pushing, road use or offroad use.

This Mercedes is powered by a straight 6Cyl. Diesel engine OM352. The gear box has 6 fore and 2 rear with torque converter for
smooth / jerkfree towing.
You have 2 wheel or 4 wheel or 4 wheel fullylocked drive.
You can use a front PTO for addition equipment like the brush.

You also have two hydraulic circuits to move for ex. the plow up/down and left/right.

Purchased off the scrap line at Naval Weapons station Charleston, SC

WW2, Korean War, Vietnam, Desert Storm. Not many military vehicles can claim to have served in all 4, even if she never deployed.

1943 GE 80 ton locomotive. Two Cummins big cam 400s, 800 HP. Now used on my shortline railroad in NC.

Big plans to paint her up as built.

Some more pics coming up. Did I already mentioned that the truck is modified to be Truck - Dump (M51) and Truck - Tractor (M52) whenever whatever is needed, and legal on papers as well?

This is how it looked after the first visit to the DoT. Their remark: no protection over the tires and nothing stopping somebody to get in between the tires. With other words, get some cover on top sticking out.

A wooden frame with a cheap plastic tarp around it and danger triangles and reflectors mounted around it. Problem solved. The last pic shows the truck at the DoT inspection where it got its Dutch papers and also restamped the VIN.

The truck at its current location, for brake repairs. Feeling good around other big and old stuff, here behind a 20-ton steam hammer.

Wow 20 ton steam hammer. How old is that machine? DO you plan on using that Robo. Is that like a shaping metal hammer or more like for stamping forgings?

Looking close it looks kind of mid century and very good condition. I bet that could make some horse shoes.

My truck at the forge, so it counts as canvassing. ;-)

Steam hammer: early 1900, from the former steam locomotive repair shop of the Franz Josef Railroad. The hammer is now working on compressed air from the holder behind it' steam would be too risky and problematic with authorities etc.

Just to give an impression, what you see above ground is about 18 feet high. Below ground, there is a fundament of another 10 feet, and about 4 feet of anvil base.

Four more inside the workshop. The youngest is about 30 years old, the others between 70 and 1330 years old, all functional, the two on the left are used quite regularly.

Apprentice forging a chain. I can use it to restore the historic look on the winch with line and chain.
