#8 - Swiss - it was over 200 degree's when I worked on his truck and he thought he brought it when it would be cool outside. I had to fight snakes and spiders while working on it and keep my 3 sisters off me from bothering me.
Swiss only showed up one time to pick it up - AFTER he finally told his wife he bought it ( I do think he hid it a Rons for a while as well).

It was a full paint up and has its own thread under one of my projects to help other folks to keep a paint job as simple and cheap as possible with BEHR paint.

Vote for iatractor. This truck recently participated in a convoy to Quincy Illinois to provide a Veteran's Day parade escort to Sgt Major Richard Pace. He served two tours in Vietnam and was also the lead horseman for President Kennedy's funeral.

Wooohoooo, Thank You jdmcgowen!!! Always a Great Feeling to get that First Vote to start that Momentum. My truck deserves a shot at victory as he has participated in the last 5 GA Rallies since he became a privately owned truck and that's a 180 mile trip each way. He's been a trail ride champion and has never gotten stuck. I'll thank the Firestone tires and an owner who exercises sound judgement. I will also add that the truck assisted the Patriot Guard Riders in the Funeral Procession for Leesburg, GA's Real Hometown Hero. Marine LCpl Steven G. Sutton. Sure we have our Luke Bryan's, Buster Posey's, Phillip Phillips's, and Miss Georgia 2013 Ms. Carly Mathis and we're Very Proud of their accomplishments as well as the joy their talents have brought to your ears and your T.V. Screens. He's a well traveled Deuce who has served with Distinction and Pride. He also shares a yard with what is perhaps the most original M1028 released to private hands. He's been a parade truck and a real inspiration to all who have had the opportunity to see him or be associated with him. Attached are some of his most recent pics in the Leesburg Christmas Parade being driven and accompanied by current Soldiers serving with the Ga Army National Guard. I forgot to add that I'm the driver and I am in the Ga Army National Guard!!!

It was a tossup between fishtail and storm 51. I have always loved the 715's and that will be my next build but for now I have a 1951 M-43 ambulance that I hope one day looks that good so Storm you got my vote this month. She's a peach...

There's something to be said about a frame off restoration. The amount of work and love put into a MV should, in certain instances, get a point or two above a store bought asset with a fresh coat of paint. I love the M-37s and am completely prejudicial, but, you cannot deny there was a lot of work put into STORM 51's M-37. Here's a few pictures so you can decide for yourself. Also, be aware, we do not have a winner in the M-37 Korean War vintage machine just yet.
So please, whether you have voted or not, made up your mind elsewhere or not, just take a look at the following link that shows you some of the things that went into the frame off restoration. Also, I will post here a few more pictures of the finished product in both the M37 and the M42 Command Truck form.

Storm also, for safe keeping, has a complete Artic Kit that is good for -70 below zero with flanges up top for stove kit and all, insulated flooring, and it goes in the back in place of the M42 Command cover. It is currently in storage and not available for pictures, but makes the truck complete in many ways. Imagine starting a truck in -70 degrees. Burrrrr......
