swapping out turn signal control switch didn't fix my blinker issue..

My right blinker stopped working. It wasn't a light issue since bulbs front and back went on. But when right turn signal is activated the lights just go solid.

I figured it had to the signal control switch. I swapped it for a new one and the issue persists. Could it be a wiring issue? Any tips for troubleshooting are appreciated.

Unrelated, but the new control arm I ordered I'm guessing is a knockoff since there's a typo 'ALL PATENT ROGHTS RESERVED'. What's interesting is that the build quality seems better than the plastic one that came with the truck. Metal construction and much better sealed than the original. I would suspect the flasher unit, have you changed any bulbs?
Edit, the original bulbs have two (redundant) filaments, it is conceivable that one of the redundant filaments could burn out and cause a flasher unit that was right on the edge of working to quit, but the bulbs still light.
