Bud of mine called Saturday to ask me if I could come over to his place and ID a jeep that he is doing some work on .. he figured it was a WWII era jeep ..
Nice original CJ5 rig with a pump and tank unit for fighting brush fires .. determined that it's a 1957 model from the serial #'s ...and from the looks of it belonged to the Douglas Aircraft Corporation at one time .. owner is going to leave it original and has all the brass and chrome fire fighting gear that stores on the rear deck ..looks like the rig and tank was designed specifically for the CJ frame and body .. and it has a siren and light that mounts on the fender. Interesting lock out hubs.
