Temp. gauge pinned at 240

When I turn on the power the temp gauge pegs at 240. Any suggestions?
It was fine before I power washed the truck.

Check the ground on the gauge. The hold down bracket is what grounds the gauge.

The dirt was the only thing keeping it working and you washed it off.

I hqad the same problem a couple of days ago, Just a bad ground although I am replacing the eletric gauge with a mecanical temp gauge. Little disturbing to look down and see the temp gauge pegged out,,,,
