If that is the jeep in the book then I would not call it a true restoration. There are many modifications from original. Hopefully the author has made note of this so as not to confuse them as original parts.

If what is the jeep in the book? The photos posted from Vietnam? That's not even the same poster, let alone the author....

I think he just want's to show his MUTT. There are a lot of them in Vietnam. I wish mine looked as good.

The M151 jeep book doesn't have the Vietnamese rebuilt one, only a genuine, all nos, American rebuild of a M151A2 without ROPS and another found in original condition with ROPS. Also there is a list with costs of all the parts used in the complete rebuild.
