I recently acquired a DMC 1450 and though it was never military am hoping some here could help me with getting it ready for next winter. The biggest current problem is that the idler wheels, which looked great when purchased, quickly started falling apart when I tried to move it. I am assuming they have been weakened with age and sun exposure and it did not show up because the unit had been sitting for a number of years before I purchased it. So far, the only wheels I have seen have been sprockets which were listed for over $500 each. The idlers on this have an OD of about 12" and a 3" wide face, don't know if it is worthwhile to look at alternatives like industrial casters for replacement, maybe cast my own, or turn some up out of nylon, or if it is best just to go to the specialty suppliers and pay whatever it costs.2013-05-27_20-33-05_430.jpg2013-05-27_20-34-42_855.jpg

If you're still looking for parts for this, contact member Boggie. If he doesn't have them, he probably knows where you can get them, and at decent prices.
