The standard size tire is 11.00x20, duals. As for the ones you bought, they will fit on the rim, but will look silly on a M816. After all, they are shorter than a standard 11.00R20 (same diameter as 9.00R20). Maybe you should have considered the 15.5s sold at Carson on GL. I know who bought them if you are interested.madsam said:On a m816 what are the standard tires sizes? I bought some 12.5 wide 20 inch rim. Has anyone ever put those on a standard 5 ton rim?
He is correct on that being a very heavy truck. I think a 11:00 NDT tire would be a tad over loaded with a snow plow. Even a multi 5 ton with a winch is topping that tire to the max, I would go for the 14:00 xl tires and super rimsYou can run them as duals or I would seriously consider another wheel/tire combo if you want to run singles. An M816 is a very heavy truck, before adding the additional weight of a plow.
An M816 should weigh in at closer to 35,000 not inlcuding the plow you will add. An M816 is a wrecker. Is your truck something else?madsam said:Well, I looked at the load rating in them is 4410lbs. 6 tires makes 26460. Those trucks are about 25000 by all accounts, so it is just enough as long as I don't hall anything. But I also got 8 of the 11 - 20 old stile new. I could use those, but I need 2 more for the front. Hmm. I will have to think about it. I could sell the 21.5 on ebay. Thanks for all the input.
