Hello,

As this site has some old soldiers, I thought I would ask if anyone has or knows where to acquire this book TM 38-L-11. This is a maintenance administrative book with has instructions to completing forms. I have been looking for a few years now for this.

Thank You for any assistance anyone may be able to give.

What time frame are we talking about? Old? New? What forms?
Hello, I am thinking that the manual maybe somewhere in the 1980's. The form that we still use that is covered in this manual is DA Form 3999-3-R, and it is dated July 1980 itself. I am looking for the actual instructions for this form. As I have never actually seen this TM, I am not sure what else is covered in this manual. I would need the book as to the current system we use here.

Thank You for any assistance that you can give on this.

I will take a look see, and maybe find something.

I did find this "Blurb" below. And a picture of the DD Form 3999-3-R. And it brought back pleasant memories. I was a Shop Officer of the 549th Ord. Co. My Iron Fist in the RCS, Records Control Center, was a young lady who knew more about the paperwork needed to keep us out of trouble, than any other human being in the world. Once a week, SGT. Mavis would bring this form into my office to "Be Checked". My response was always, "If you filled it in, its got to be right." So, I signed it.

This is a military form that was released by the U.S. Department of the Army (DA) on July 1, 1980. The form, often mistakenly referred to as the DD Form 3999-3-r, is a military form used by and within the U.S. Army. As of today, no separate instructions for the form are provided by the DA.

The DA Form 3999-3-R, also known as the Workload Accounting Daily Status Sheet (LRA), is a form used by the Department of the Army track and record the daily status of workload accounting activities. The purpose this form is to provide a comprehensive overview of the workload status within an organization or unit.

The form consists of several important fields that need to be filled out accurately. These fields include the date, unit identification, duty position, personnel on duty, and a detailed description of the workload accounting activities performed during the day. Additionally, there are sections to record any issues or problems encountered, as well as recommendations for improvement.

When filling out the DA Form 3999-3-R, it is crucial to ensure accuracy and completeness of the information provided. This form serves as a vital tool for tracking and managing workload accounting activities, and any errors omissions could lead to inaccurate reporting or inefficient resource allocation.

An example of an application for this form would be in a military finance office where workload accounting is essential for tracking financial transactions and ensuring proper allocation of funds. By using this form, the finance office can maintain an accurate record of their daily workload and identify any areas that require attention or improvement.

There are no direct alternatives or analogues to the DA Form 9-3-R. However, similar forms may exist within other branches of the military or government agencies for tracking workload or activity status. It is important to note that the specific format and fields may vary between different organizations, but the overall purpose remains the same - to provide a snapshot of workload accounting activities on a daily basis.

So, after much head scratching, it seemed to me that you left out something on the TM number. I looked at about a million pages of "Stuff". The TM that cover the DA form 3999-3-R is................................TM 38-L09-11

This TM is not coded A, so the unwashed masses, like me, can not access it. So try LOGSA with your CAC card and see what shows up.

Thank You for your help.

I appreciate your effort. I apologise for not having the complete publication number included in the message. I have been searching this since 2018. I have tried what you suggested already as well as contacting PS magazine and pentagon publishing as that was suggested by a message to me earlier. I got several different answers/replies and tried I believe all of them. I have used this form since 1982 but never seen the actual instructions for it. I was hoping to find someone here that may have seen and retained the actual book or an idea of how to get it as we still use it to this day but just not as it is intended. I was attempting to right the confused.

Thank You
