Turning up fuel on a non turbo?

Hey everyone I was wondering how to turn up the fuel on a non turbo deuce? Even though it's a non turbo it doesn't smoke bad. I was wondering if there is any benefit to turning it up. And how much should I turn it up? Thanks for the help

You'll only make smoke.

Change your fuel filters and be happy with it.

Any time you contemplate turning up the fuel on a diesel, boost and most importantly EGT gauges are a MUST. However, like doghead said, there's nothing to be gained turning up a NA diesel. You'll only increase EGTs and smoke. (Well you might make 2-3hp more before you start melting down internal components)

Nahh, that's what I use my dodge for. That tailpipe dumps nicely into the passenger compartment of cars leaving a red light.

On a turbo diesel, when you turn the fuel up you also increase the air going into the engine (to a point). Without a turbo, when you turn up the fuel you add fuel but you've still got the same amount of air going into the engine. The engine can't burn the extra fuel because there's not enough air. Unless your engine has been turned down for some reason, all you'll make is more smoke by turning it up.
