Has anyone had to install a new vacuum pump on a 1009, and are they timed with the the injector pump or do you just slide it into gear?

Just slides in. The bottom of the pump drives the oil pump and the gear meshes with the camshaft.. You can turn it any direction that you require.
Only requirement is that it seats all the way and the oil pump shaft is in place.
