Very quick question...

If i want to install a manual GP push button, would i be correct in the assumption that all i need to do is attach a wire to the light blue wire post on the gp relay and then another to the ground plate on the drivers side kick panel, then attach both to my push button?

Correct. All you will be doing is providing a momentary ground for the relay coil. That is what the GP controller card does.

Just make sure you use a MOMENTARY switch, not an on-off pushbutton.
