As we all are aware Veterans day is Nonmember 11th. There is no doubt many of our MV's will be participating.
There is a national and local effort to make up for the "Forgotten War" stigma. The Korean War veterans now have a national monument. This summer we dedicated a Korean War Monument at a major local recreation center. The Veterans Service Corps of South Carolina will be presenting Federal level medals and certificates to our local Korean War Veterans in a very formal ceremony. The commander personally went to Washington DC to pick up the medals and certificates. The commander mentioned the presentation protocol is to be stickily adheard to. The Ceremony will be held at one of the largest hospitals in the area. There will be the Crossed ladder fire truck With hanging flag. National and local dignitaries and numerous corporate sponsors. The M944 will be participating.
Lets share what ever Veteran's Day activity you may be having.
Keep a warm though (prayers) for our veterans as November 11th approaches.
