VIN numberr on Postal jeep

I have to get the postal jeep inspected and I do not know where the VIN number is on a postal jeep can you tell me where it is?

Mine was on a Yellow AM General dash sticker. I don't remember for sure if it was also on a firewall data plate. I think so.

Mine had the Serial # (16 digits I think) on the passenger side firewall under the hood...on a plate riveted on. I think it was a 1974 model, but I really don't remember.
