I recently won a M923a2 and it only has the spin-on engine fuel filter. The Police department that had this truck before me cut the line going too the primer on the engine and put a cheap plastic inline filter to act as a pre-filter. I will admit there was some rust in the tank but Ive solved that problem already. I would like to add a pre-filter like my other trucks have. Honestly I would be happy with even a canister filter like on my M931A1 but spin on would probably be best. I have looked at some aftermarket spin-on bases I could mount on the frame but just thought I would get some other opinions.

Thanks

You can get a 3/4" inlet/outlet filter base from Tractor Supply that are $20 each, Filters are about $20 each for 2 microns from BioTek thru them as well Spin on. You can also do a Wix 33003 that is in line 3/8" fuel line that is 20 micron. Cheapest way to go short of using the napa bases or from Truckpro that will use Balwin filters. Make sure to acquire some of the push on fuel connectors and lines.
