You need to check the bearings. That looks like rusty water from inside the boot. I pulled mine a year or so ago and posted some pics. Rusted bearings will run, for a while.

check the fluids and you will be ok with it today. ive got one doing the same. but its the 4th and some vets wanted the trucks so we was out ;)

matter of fact i got one worse. I got a deuce with a injector slight leak. that will be fixed monday. but we made sure the truck was at the display today ;)

The boot keeps the grease in and the crap out. If it just gave out and you haven't been offroading like that you should be able to make a short trek. was it OK when you came to Tim's?

Not worried about the boot, and that's not water, feels like gear oil.

If my gear oil is fine, and I drop some grease in it, can I run it 50 miles there
and 50 back ?

Don't feel bad on July 1st in Canada we left for a parade all dressed up and somewhere to go. We were about 3 miles down the road when the truck sudden lost all power and the engine stopped. After dragging it home we found all the fuel filters had emptied because the primary wasn't properly seated.

Truck is deadlined for today. Judging from the look, and the fact that there seems to be more right after I parked it, it is DOT 5.

ARGGGHHH. Well, I'm out for the 4th in my Honda.
